Sanitation Supervisor
Department: Quality Control
Primary Job Responsibilities:The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for ensuring sanitation, GMP, and quality standards are met in operations. This includes:
- Performs sanitation tasks designated to the sanitation supervisor in accordance with the master sanitation plan.
- Coordinates with production and operations team weekly washdown responsibilities and instructions.
- Monitors and performs verification checks of sanitation tasks listed on the master sanitation plan.
- Monitors supplies and inventory for chemicals and sanitation equipment; communicates with suppliers and purchasing department to ensure that inventory needs are met.
- Reports sanitation non-compliances to Quality Manager to ensure root cause analysis and corrective actions are undertaken.
- Perform routine quality checks of production and warehouse areas to ensure compliance to GMP and Food Safety requirements, notifying the Quality Manager of any non-compliances.
- Performs environmental swabbing of designated surfaces for continuous monitoring.
- Prepares production paperwork and recipes according to the production schedule.
- Prints labels and verifies compliance and accuracy with other quality personnel.
- Performs HACCP verification checks as necessary according to internal procedures.
- Assists Quality Manager with conducting and writing reports for internal audits.
- Performs verification of batch paperwork and prebatch materials.
- Performs on-site pest control inspections as part of internal auditing procedures.
- Supervises wash-down processes and implements corrective actions where necessary to meet food safety and GMP standards.
- Is responsible for writing and implementing sanitation SOPs and coordinating with production staff to meet continuous improvement requirements.
- Is responsible for monitoring trends in sanitation and quality standards and adapting SOPs to meet requirements.
